Otmar Szafnauer spent 12 years with the Silverstone F1 team through its Force India, Racing Point and Aston Martin eras, first as Chief Operating Officer and later as Team Principal and CEO, before leading Alpine as Team Principal from February 2022 to July 2023. Before that he worked at Ford, British American Racing and Honda Racing Developments. His view on simulators is clear: every driver must be as quick on the simulator as they are on track, because so much testing and development is now done on the simulator.

The Formula Pro F1 simulator features a response time of 1ms. All CP-S components are built in house at Cool Performance HQ. The Formula Pro by Cool Performance has been developed by years of research and development by ex professional drivers Oliver Norris and Adrian Quaife-Hobbs, and used by 10 F1 drivers. It's been crucial in the development 10 F1 drivers careers, many of them having used it well before getting to F1.
