CP-S Bespoke Hydraulic Pedals
The ultimate racing simulator pedals. Created and engineered from the ground up, starting with a blank piece of paper to ensure the functionality, look, and design extract the maximum real-life feeling to your simulator. We provide these pedals with our professional simulators, as used by numerous F1, F2, F3, F4 and GT Drivers.
The hydraulic system used in these pedals simulates the same type of resistance and feedback that drivers would experience in a real car, giving them a more immersive and accurate simulation experience. The extensive adjusments also allow drivers to fine-tune the resistance and feel of the pedal to match their preferences.
Designed And Built In The UK
The CP-S Bespoke Hydraulic Pedals are designed and built by ex-formula drivers Oliver Norris and Adrian Quaife-Hobbs here in the UK.
All our units are hand built, tested, and configured at Quaife engineering, Kent.

Compatibility & Mounting Dimensions
The pedals are completely modular and, via three M6 clearance holes per pedal, you can position them where where you require, allowing you to achieve the perfect spacing between the pedals for. They can be used on any pedal plate with the three holes in the diagrams below. We go one step further on our home sim range by slotting the plate so that the pedal spacing can be changed quickly and easily.
They are also compatible with any windows PC and all racing simulation software such as iRacing, Asseto Corsa Competizione, rFactor and many more platforms.
This makes the CP-S pedals the perfect pedal upgrade for any sim racer looking to take their sim racing rig to the next level.

Maintenance & Durability
The CP-S bespoke hydraulic sim racing pedal set is designed with durability and consistency. They do not require any maintenance including the need for the hydraulic system to be bled periodically as the system does not get hot, which is what causes air bubbles to be created and the need for a hydraulic bleed.
The clutch, brake and throttle pedals are all constructed from high strength aluminium. Steel is used for the pedal base and stainless steel for the brake actuator. The use of these high strength, durable materials means that our sim racing pedals are completely solid, with no bending or flex under repeated load, up to 200kg force on the brake pedal.
We CNC machine all the items at Quaife Engineering and mount the throttle and brake pedals on high-quality SKF bearings to ensure smooth operation and prolonged life. We also finish the pedal support in Satin Chrome for the highest possible wear resistance and colour protection for many, many years to come. The pedals themselves are also anodized black, again for colour protection for years to come.
Warranty
We provide 2 year warranty period for the pedals.
Key Features

Gas Spring Throttle
-
With the throttle pedal, we provide three different levels of force that are adjustable by moving the gas spring to a different pivot point. We use a gas spring that has a constant force, as we have found this to provide the best feel at part throttle when you want to feed in power and really get a feeling of how much throttle is applied. With a standard spring like a real car, we found a lot of drivers would hover on the throttle up to 10% and this then locks the differential and pushes the car into an understeer which is not felt as getting on the throttle. With the gas spring, you know precisely when you get on the throttle, and the feel is far superior and was very noticeable with the Pro drivers at our HQ. Read more

Pad Knock Off Adjustment
-
With the brake pedal, you can also adjust the amount of free travel, which simulates 'knock-off' in the actual car. This is felt through the hydraulic system and gives the driver the most realisitc feeling of what the car is doing beneath you. The brake pedal will take over 200kg of force on the footplate, allowing it to be set up to feel exactly like race cars and the ability to over train. The pressure sensor does not go out of range, so you never get the annoying problem of the pressure reaching 100% and saturating the signal when you want to brake harder. Read more

AP Racing Master Cylinder
-
The hydraulic brake system uses a genuine AP racingmaster cylinder, the same master cylinder that many professional teams use in race cars. We also use our own unique 'brake calliper' design that allows many different braking configurations, including stiffness of the pedal. Our pedal design allows you to adjust the exact shape of the force curve from linear to exponential curve and everything in between, with precise control. Read more

Proprietary Calliper
-
We made our own 'brake calliper' that can be fully adjusted to set the feeling of the brake pedal from as stiff as in an F1 car, to spongey like some road cars. This is achieved by a proprietry stack of Belleville washers that are compressed by the 'calliper' under the load of the hydraulic system when the pedal is pressed. The feeling of the break pedal is adjusted by changing the orientation, thickness and number of washers. We can also provide multiple Belleville stacks to simulate specific cars, making it easy to swap them out and changethe set up of the brake with multiple, pre set stacks. Read more

FAQs
Hydraulic or Load cell Sim racing pedals?
Hydraulic brake pedals are the preffered choice for pro drivers' racing simulators because they provide a more realistic and consistent feel compared to load pedals and force feedback pedals. Learn more directly from Oliver Norris about load cell vs hydraulic pedals here.
Do hydraulic racing sim pedals require maintainance?
The CP-S Bespoke Hydraulic Pedals for sim racing do not require any maintenance including the need for the the hydraulic system to be bled. Whilst some other hydraulic sim racing pedals may require this, Cool Performance pedals feature as much dedication to durability and build quality as they do to realism and authenticity.
What sim racing pedals do F1 drivers use?
F1 drivers like Lando Norris, Carlos sainz, Alex Albon, Logan Sargent and Mick Schumacher use the CP-S Bespoke Hydraulic Pedals for their true to life feeling that enables them to refine braking technique, study optimal braking points and build muscle memory for setting faster lap times on track.
What are the most realistic pedals for sim racing?
Hydraulic pedals are the most realistic to real life pedals for sim racing compared to load cell and force feedback pedals.
More Information
As far as sim racing pedal sets go, the Cool Performance CP-S Hydraulic sim racing pedals are widely regarded as the best sim racing pedals, by hundreds of professional drivers.
