About Coolperformance.com
Coolperformance.com is the official website of Cool Performance Ltd — designers, engineers, and manufacturers of professional racing simulators used by over 250 professional racing drivers across 42 countries.
Our blog publishes content on racing simulator technology, professional driver training, motorsport simulation, and performance engineering. It is written by the people who build and develop our simulators — not by journalists, generalist writers, or third-party contributors. It may however occasionally feature articles that professional drivers or other industry experts have contributed to.
Cool Performance simulators are the training tool of choice for nine Formula 1 drivers, including Lando Norris (2025 F1 World Champion), Carlos Sainz, and Alex Albon, alongside Le Mans winners, WEC champions, NASCAR legends, and over 250 professional racing drivers worldwide.

Our Background
Everything we publish is grounded in direct experience:
- Professional motorsport — our founder raced for 8 years from karting to Formula racing, competing alongside and against Max Verstappen, Charles Leclerc, Lance Stroll, Alex Albon, Logan Sargeant, and Zhou Guanyu. Our Simulator Development Lead also raced all the way up to F1 testing.
- Simulator design and manufacture — our content reflects engineering decisions made in the real design, testing, and calibration of professional-grade systems, built at our workshop at Quaife Engineering in Kent.
- Active driver relationships — our simulators are used daily by 250+ professional drivers, giving us direct, ongoing insight into how simulation technology performs at the highest levels of motorsport.
- Scale — over 1,000 simulators delivered across 42 countries, with logistics covering 190+ countries worldwide.
- External coverage — featured in Sports Illustrated, People.com, Times of India, Yahoo Sports, and Essentially Sports.
Editorial Contributors
Oliver Norris — CEO, Founder & Lead Blog Author
Oliver Norris is the founder and CEO of Cool Performance and the primary author of blog content published on CoolPerformance.com. His full background is on our About Us page.
Oliver raced professionally for 8 years — from karting through to Formula racing — where he was a teammate of Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant, and competed directly against Max Verstappen, Charles Leclerc, and Lance Stroll. During that time he worked closely alongside his brother Lando Norris, with the Cool Performance Formula Pro simulator playing a central role in Lando's progression from karting to the 2025 Formula 1 World Championship.
Since founding Cool Performance in 2013, Oliver has personally developed and delivered simulators for over 250 professional drivers across F1, F2, F3, GT3, LMP, WEC, NASCAR, and karting — gathering engineering and performance feedback that directly informs what we write about.
Oliver covers simulator technology, driver training methodology, force feedback engineering, motion platform systems, and the practical application of simulation in professional race preparation.
Adrian Quaife-Hobbs — Development Lead & Technical Contributor
Adrian Quaife-Hobbs is Cool Performance's Head of Simulator Development and Manufacturing. His full background is on our About Us page.
Adrian comes from the Quaife Engineering family — producers of precision differentials used by Ford, Maserati, and other major manufacturers. He raced professionally for over a decade, reaching GP2 level, and brings that experience as a driver together with a deep mechanical engineering background to his work at Cool Performance.
Adrian reviews technical content covering simulator hardware, chassis engineering, force feedback calibration, motion system configuration, and manufacturing. Where articles make specific engineering claims, his review ensures they are accurate against our current build specifications.
All blog content published on Coolperformance.com is written by Oliver Norris or reviewed by Adrian Quaife-Hobbs — or both — before publication.

Blog Standards
Every article must contain something we are uniquely placed to say. This may be direct feedback from a professional driver, an engineering observation from our workshop, data from simulator development and testing, or first-hand insight from Oliver Norris's racing career. If the same article could be written by someone without our experience, it does not meet our standard.
All posts carry a named author, with credentials verifiable via our About Us page or other linked author page.
Technical claims are checked against current Cool Performance hardware and software specifications before publication. We do not make engineering assertions based on general research.
All articles link to at least one relevant page elsewhere on the site — a product, a driver profile, or related content.
We write about subjects we have a genuine perspective on. Topics are chosen because we have direct knowledge or experience to contribute — not to fill a publishing schedule.
What We Don't Cover
To maintain focus and quality, CoolPerformance.com does not publish:
- General automotive lifestyle content unrelated to performance simulation
- Consumer gaming peripheral reviews outside a professional simulation context
- Trend-driven content with no applied performance or engineering relevance
- Sponsored reviews, paid rankings, or affiliate-driven buying guides
- Articles that cannot be grounded in direct engineering knowledge or professional motorsport experience
Keeping Content Up to Date
Racing simulation hardware and software move quickly. To keep our content accurate:
- Core technical articles are reviewed on a regular schedule
- Hardware and software specifications are updated when new versions are released
- Outdated integration details are revised or removed
- New developments are covered when they are genuinely relevant to our audience
- Updated articles carry a Last Updated date alongside the original publication date
Editorial Independence
Where our own products appear in articles, they are discussed on engineering and application grounds — not as promotion. We do not accept payment for editorial coverage, sponsored placements, or affiliate recommendations. We do not disparage competitors.
The professional drivers who train on our simulators, and the motorsport industry we operate in, depend on our information being reliable. That takes precedence over any commercial consideration.
Corrections
If you find a technical inaccuracy, outdated specification, or factual error in any article, please contact us via our contact page. Corrections are reviewed by Oliver Norris or Adrian Quaife-Hobbs. Where a correction is confirmed, it is applied promptly and the article's update date is revised. The original publication date is always preserved.
