Sebastian Vettel x AMF1 x Cool Performance
Cool Performance joined forces with Aston Martin F1 team to turn an genuine AMR21 F1 car chassis into a home simulator for Sebastian Vettel. Aston Martin Fromula One Team worked with our lead designer, Adrian Quaife-Hobbs, to use Cool Performance's steering wheel, steering force feedback system, and braking system calibration, to replicate the real world forces the Aston Martin Formula One car.
Construction of the simulator began in July 2021 and was delivered to Vettel's home in the September. The simulator was designed for Vettel to use as part of his training between races, helping him to get used to new car settings and optimise race lines, braking points and practise strategies like race restarts.
The simulator allowed Vettel to prepare for races at home, reducing the need for travel to the factory and mitigating physical/mental strain. As-well as CP-S components and technology, the simulator also, incorporates original wing mirrors, headrest, and seatbelts from the 2021 campaign, along with a specially designed metal framework.
